Destiny of Israel and the Church, The

Author: Derek Prince

Product code: B436

Israel is now at the centre of a powerful clash of forces but God has established firm covenants with both Israel and the Church. This study of God`s word concerning Israel calls on Christians to acknowledge their spiritual debt and uphold her in prayer.

  • “Why is the tiny country of Israel the focus of world attention?”
  • “How can true justice and peace come to the Middle East?”
  • “How do the history and future of Israel affect Christians today?”

These are among the questions tackled by Derek Prince in this rigorous biblical analysis that reveals how the destiny of Israel, while clearly distinct from the destiny of the Church, is interwoven with it. One of the most exciting features of the period in which we now live is that they are once again beginning to converge.

The restoration of Israel must be of profound concern for Christians if the reliability of Scripture is not to be called into question.

About the Author

Derek Prince

(1915-2003) Born in India of British parents, he was educated as a scholar of Greek and Latin at Eton College and Cambridge University, England, where he held a Fellowship in Ancient and Modern Philosophy at King`s College. He also studied Hebrew and Aramaic, both at Cambridge University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. While serving with the British army in World War II, he began to study the Bible and experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. Out of this encounter he formed two conclusions: first, that Jesus Christ is alive; second, that the Bible is a true, relevant, up-to-date book. These conclusions altered the whole course of his life. Since then, he devoted his life to studying and teaching the Bible. His daily radio programme reaches more than half the world. He was the author of over many books, as well as audio and video teachings, many of which have been translated and published in more than 80 languages. Derek`s main gift was explaining the Bible and its teaching, in a clear and simple way. His non-denominational, non-sectarian approach made his teaching equally relevant and helpful to people from all racial and religious backgrounds. And he became internationally recognised as a leading authority on Bible prophecy.
